Jungkook BTS Writes Messages For Fans Ahead Of Military Mandatory

JAKARTA - Jungkook BTS said he would leave for military service in December 2023. Although he has not yet mentioned the specific date, it is certain that he will serve one month from now.

The BigHit Music agency confirmed that the four BTS members, namely RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, had registered for military service. So far, the agency has not announced the department and what date they will depart.

Jungkook also wrote a letter to fans via the Weverse platform where he advised fans not to worry.

"I started a new journey in December and will leave your side temporarily to fulfill military duties," wrote Jungkook.

"Some of my heart feels heavy to share this news, but the other part of my heart is thinking about my memories with ARMY (BTS fans)," he continued.

Jungkook appreciated and promised that he would return to the stage to appear to fans.

Every moment in my life that I share with you is a moment that shines in my life. Tawa and ARMY support brought it to me right now. Thank you for walking with me," said Jungkook again.

"I will miss you from the bottom of my heart until we meet again. Stay healthy and safe. I love you," he said.

Jungkook is the fourth member of BTS to leave for military service. Previously, Jin began his military service in December 2022, J-Hope in April this year and Suga in September.

BigHit Music also stated that BTS's promotion as a group will begin in 2025 after the seven members renewed their contracts for the second time with the agency.
