JAKARTA - Actress and singer Cinta Laura are one of the figures who joined Comedy Island Indonesia. Because of this project, Cinta revealed that she had to go through a lack of preparation, different from the previous project.

Comedy Island Indonesia is a variety project featuring a number of public figures who compete to survive on a remote island. Apart from Cinta Laura, this event also stars Tretan Muslim, Nirina Zubir, Tora Sudiro, Asri Welas, Mamang Osa, Onadio Leonardo, Muzakki Ramdhan, Dustin Tiffani, and Uus.

"I like challenging and taking risks. So every time I want to take the project, I have to know the details," said Cinta Laura at a press conference in Jakarta today, Monday, October 30.

"I also don't know what the concept looks like. But the reason I accepted this offer was because this is Prime Video's first local content to continue filming in Thailand," he continued.

Furthermore, the 30-year-old actress admitted that she always made preparations to explore any character or event. However, there is something different when she doesn't prepare anything for Comedy Island Indonesia.

"I always prepare for any project but here, I can't do that because I don't know the concept and I don't know who to meet," continued Cinta Laura.

When she found out that she would be met with comedians, Cinta Laura was confused about how to organize their comedy type. However, according to Patrick Effendy as the director, Cinta Laura made a surprise for this event.

"The first 5-7 days, I didn't lie, I didn't feel funny and I didn't feel like I knew and didn't have any function. I told Ms. Asri and she said I was quite relaxed and let's lose, enjoy it," said Cinta Laura.

"If Patrick said I made something different, maybe the answer could be found on Comedy Island Indonesia," he said. Meanwhile, the Comedy Island Indonesia event will release 6 episodes on November 9, 2023.
