After Watching The Ice Cold Jessica Wongso Series, Umay Shahab Was Afraid Of Being Left Behind By His Parents Forever

JAKARTA - Actress and director Umay Shahab shared her close relationship with her parents. He even said he had an extraordinary fear that one day his parents would leave him forever.

This was told by Umay Shahab when he was a guest star on the HAS Creative YouTube channel together with comedian Praz Teguh. This 22-year-old man was afraid when his parents were sleeping or closing their eyes.

"2018, I always talk about losing because I'm really scared that I'm really lost. I'm really scared, I can't sleep with my mother and father anymore, because I'm afraid to see them relax, it's like I'm afraid 'It's still breathing or not' or what. I'm that scared," said Umay Shahab, quoted by VOI from the HAS Creative YouTube channel, Tuesday, October 24.

That thought continued even after watching the Netflix documentary Ice Cold: Coffee, Murderer, and Jessica Wongso which had gone viral on social media. He thought what his parents would look like in 10 years when Jessica Wongso, the perpetrator of Mirna Salihin's death, was released from prison.

"I watched Mirna's Ice Cold yesterday with Jessica, then I thought, 'Does Jessica come out in 10 years and then I can still see her original testimony, can't I?' Then I thought, 'Do my mother know?' Then I imagined, '10 years old, my mother looks like it's like it's been like that?'," continued Umay.

Having a great fear of losing his parents makes this youngest box office director promise himself that when he gets married he will still live close to his parents.

"I even promised myself, even though I was getting married and separated from my house, I didn't want to stay away from my mother and father, because naudzubillah suddenly something happened, I was close and easy to help them," added Umay.
