Lee Sun Kyun Undergoes Investigations Regarding Drug Cases

JAKARTA - Actor Lee Sun Kyun was questioned by the police regarding the alleged drug case that dragged his name. This began on October 19, Shinmun Gyeonggi revealed that the Incheon metropolitan police were investigating actors L and 7 other people.

When conducting an investigation related to drug cases in the entertainment area in Gangnam, we received information that a celebrity was involved in drug use. We are currently investigating 8 people including L, an actor in his 40s," the police confirmed.

Reportedly, this actor gave hundreds of millions to drug suppliers after receiving threats. The police confirmed the statement and explained, "It is true that actor L gave a sum of money to drug suppliers for being involved in marijuana use. We estimate the total to reach 300 million won".

Initially, the actor's identity was hidden, but the clues revealed led to Lee Sun Kyun, an actor in his 40s and received great attention four years ago thanks to the film. He also received a positive response through his latest film of mystery thriller genres.

The agency that oversees Lee Sun Kyun, HODU&U Entertainment then released a statement regarding their artist. The agency also said the Sleep star actually reported individuals who made threats to him.

"Our company is verifying the report to Lee Sun Kyun. We are committed to being cooperative in the investigation carried out by the authorities honestly in the future," said HODU&U, launching Xsportsnews.

"As an addition, Lee Sun Gyun filed a complaint with the legal side against individual A who was connected to the incident, over threats and blackmail continuously. The latest news will be communicated through the legal side. We ask for your understanding," the agency said.

Furthermore, the agency did not hesitate to report parties who spread false information regarding their actors.

"In addition, we intend to take firm action against any malicious or false posts that can spread false information. Once again, we express our sincere apologies for causing concern," concluded the agency.

Lee Sun Kyun is reportedly involved with Hwang Ha Na, Park Yoo Chun's ex-fiance and Han Seo Hee, a former idol trainee who was questioned in a drug case with former BIGBANG TOP.

Lee Sun Kyun is a 48-year-old actor who debuted in acting in 2001. He became popular since awla's career, but peaked when he starred in the film Parasite in 2019 by Bong Joon Ho. This year, two of his films, Sleep and Project: Silence aired on the Cannes Film Festival 2023. He also acted through the Payback drama which aired earlier this year.
