Newly Released, Elemental Film Prints A Great Number Of Viewers On Disney+

JAKARTA - Elemental film scored an amazing total audience in its release. Just released on Disney+, this film has been watched by more than 26.4 million views in five days.

As a result, this Peter Sohn-directed film immediately ranked first. The acquisition of this film surpassed the achievement of the previous Disney Pixar film, Turning Red, which was released in March 2022.

Previously, Elemental was shown in theaters and also reaped success. More than USD 484 million was obtained from global broadcasts while domestically, the film received USD 154 million.

This rare achievement was also followed by a large fan base. Elemental generates 30 million US dollars in South Korea and makes the Pixar film the most watched there.

The film Elemental was written by Sohn with John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh. When it premiered, the film was not well received in the first week until the number of viewers began to increase in the following weeks.

Elemental tells the fictional city of Element where elements of fire, water, earth, and air live together. Ember (Leah Lewis), an element of fire that thinks he can't be friends with other elements, meets Wade (Mamoudou Athie), a relaxing water element.

Ember and Wade, who are starting to be friends, try to live their ideal life, and fight against the stereotypes of elements around them.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last May and received a lively welcome before it aired theatrically in June.
