JAKARTA - Honey Lee and Jin Seok Kyu will compete acting through the latest series titled AEMA. The Netflix original series will highlight the story of making films in the 80s.

Today, Monday, September 11, Netflix released the four main characters taking pictures together. They are Honey Lee, Jin Seok Kyu, Bang Hyo Rin, and Jo Hyun Chul. They will act as top actresses, rookie actresses, producers and directors in early 1980 who have difficulty making films.

AEMA, a fictional comedy genre, tells the story of staff and filmmakers who make drama films.

Honey Lee becomes Jung Hae Ran, a top actress who loses her lead role in her latest film because she has conflicts with staff. Bang Hyo Rin plays Shin Joo Ae, the new actress who gets the lead role.

Shin Joo Ae is an actress who tries to make a fortune by becoming a dancer at a nightclub. Her life changed 180 degrees after being selected in a film that the public had been waiting for.

Jin Seok Kyu plays producer Goo Joong Ho who makes an important decision by serving the main character to the new actress. This was done after he held a big audition to compete in the film industry.

In addition, there is actor Jo Hyun Chul who plays Kwak In Woo, a young director who will debut through the film Total Aema. Jo Hyun Chul's acting left a good impression through various titles such as DP and Hotel Del Luna.

The AEMA series is the reunion between Honey Lee and Jin Seok Kyu. The two of them competed acting in the 2019 film Extreme Job. He even supported Honey Lee by becoming a cameo through the drama One the Woman two years later.

This series is Honey Lee's latest project after playing the drama One the Woman. In the same year she announced her marriage to a non-celebrity.

AEMA will be directed by Lee Hae Young, the man behind Believer and Ghost. The series is confirmed to be one of Netflix's newest contents even though they haven't announced when the drama will be released.
