Followed By Jimin, Jungkook BTS Achieves First Position On Billboard With Debut Song

JAKARTA - Jungkook just inaugurated his debut two weeks ago with the song Seven. However, he achieved various achievements in a short time including the first position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Billboard announced that Jungkook's solo song won first place on the Billboard Hot 100. He became the second member of BTS with this achievement following Jimin with his solo song, Like Crazy last April.

The acquisition of positions on Hot 100 is simulated from total streaming, total turns on radio, and sales of digital tracks. Seven's songs reportedly sold 153,000 digital and cd, 6.4 million total plays on the radio, and 21.9 million streams.

Besides Hot 100, Jungkook won second place in Digital Song Sales and number four on Streaming Songs.

This is not the first time Jungkook has earned a position on the Billboard Hot 100. Previously, his duet song with Charlie Puth - Left and Right also received the 22nd position in July 2022 and the song Stay Alive in February.

Apart from the United States, Jungkook's solo song also received appreciation in England. Official Charts announced Seven were in third place and made achievements for their highest debut with songs from South Korean soloists so far.

Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist to have five songs on Official Charts following BTS with three of their songs on the UK's highest music charts.

On the same day, Seven's music video has been viewed 100 million views. This figure was obtained in 10 days 13 hours since the music video was released on July 14.

The youngest member of BTS made his solo debut with Seven where he collaborated with rapper Latto. Jungkook's solo song became one of the most anticipated releases after BTS announced a period of vacuum and members would focus on individual activities.

Currently Jungkook is also promoting at several events in the United States and Britain.
