JAKARTA - The film Why do You Love Me produced by Max Pictures is adapted from the Belgian film Hasta La Vista (Come as You Are) which was released in 2011. From the start, this film offers an unusual story, the adventures of 3 people with disabilities with different special needs. Baskara (Adipati Dolken) suffers from nerve paralysis until almost all of its bodies are unable to move, Danton (Jefri Nichol) suffers from paralysis at the bottom of his body due to brain tumors, and Miko (Onadio Leonardo) who is blind. They have an established family and support each other. Even though they have a disability theme, this film is far from feeling sorry and sad. The strongest thing to come by greeting this film is the family ties that take care of each other, support each other. Support system between families and children with special needs looks very strong in this film so it is easy to bring emotion to tears. The songs presented also make the atmosphere of cheerfulness and sadness take turns easy to digest. Unfortunately, music dominates so that sometimes it interferes with each character's chat. The editor's good intention to guide the audience's emotions actually makes it uncomfortable. However, the end of this film came an unexpected surprise that brought us back to the warmth of the family.
