Nam Joo Hyuk Ready For Military Service, To Be Military Police In March

JAKARTA - Nam Joo Hyuk will carry out his mandatory military service starting next month. Management SOOP as the agency confirmed this news to the public.

“It is true that Nam Joo Hyuk was accepted into the military police department. He will enlist in the military on March 20," said Management SOOP's statement on Tuesday, January 31.

Previously, the agency shared the news that Nam Joo Hyuk had finished filming for the drama Vigilante. He had applied for military service in May 2022 but only received news this year.

Nam Joo Hyuk will undergo basic training for five weeks before being placed in the military police. It is not yet known whether the actor will hold a farewell ceremony with the public.

The presence of Nam Joo Hyuk is a concern considering that he was involved in a bullying controversy at school. In June, an informant with the initials A claimed that Nam Joo Hyuk had committed violence at school for six years.

He also mentioned that the actor joined the Iljin group, which means a group with a big negative influence. The actor reportedly often asked his classmates for money and threw mechanical pencil contents and pulled chairs.
