Yugyeom GOT7 Learned MMA From UFC Fighter Jung Chan Sung

JAKARTA - Yugyeom from the K-pop idol group GOT7 said he had recently studied mixed martial arts MMA and partnered with UFC fighter Jung Chan Sung.

"I go to exercise at Chan-sung's gym almost every day," he said when interviewed by a Korean magazine and broadcast by Soompi, Monday, January 23.

The singer then revealed his current goal is to show his face frequently with new music and performances.

Yugyeom then discussed his growing solo career under the AOMG agency. In 2021, Yugyeom signed with AOMG after parting ways with his former agency JYP Entertainment.

He recently toured Asia with some of his label mates as part of his 2023 FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT AOMG world tour.

“At the AOMG concert, all these different artists get together and each performs (a type of music) that they are good at individually,” said Yugyeom.

"But then when we do a group song together, it's like we're a team, which I find interesting and fun," he added.

When asked if he is used to promoting solo without the other GOT7 members, Yugyeom answered, there are pros and cons, but according to him, currently, solo promotions suit him better. He said his relationship with the other GOT7 members is like old friends.
