Good News! Wednesday's Adventure Continues To The Second Season

JAKARTA - Good news comes from the Wednesday series which has become popular since its inception. Wednesday's story continuation is confirmed to continue through the second season. This news was shared by the creators of Wednesday.

“We are thrilled to be able to create a series that has reached so many people around the world. We are also excited to continue Wednesday's journey into season two," said creators and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

"I can't wait to pick up on last season and explore the magical world of Nevermore even more," they continued.

Since its release on November 23, Wednesday has become a new phenomenon in society. Even though the Addams family is already popular as a whole, Wednesday's presence in this standalone is an interesting thing.

This series managed to sit at number two on the list of Most Popular Television Shows (English) and was watched as many as 1.237 billion hours. Wednesday even broke the series record with the most hours watched in one week since it first aired on Netflix with 341.23 million hours.

Wednesday's character and appearance has also gone viral where the Wednesday dance scene played by Jenna Ortega has been watched more than 80 million times.

On the other hand, the news of the second season seems to refute the rumors that say Wednesday 2 won't air on Netflix. Because this series is produced by MGM Television, which recently merged with Amazon.

Apart from that, Netflix also released a clip showing Wednesday writing on a typewriter. Wednesday wrote, "The End?" and stop. Then Netflix released the second season announcement video filled by Jenna Ortega.

Wednesday is a series that presents the story of Wednesday Addams when he becomes a new student at Nevermore Academy. He experienced a number of problems in dealing with enemies to solve the murder case of his parents.

The series stars Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Fred Armisen, among others. The series is co-directed by Tim Burton as director and producer.
