JAKARTA - The Sex Education series lost two of its cast members. Simone Ashley and Patricia Allison announced they were not joining the production of season four.

Separately, Simone Ashley shared this news during an interview with This Morning. She said the focus is more on Bridgerton, a series that will enter production for a third season.

“I get this question all the time. No, I'm a Bridgerton girl now," Simone Ashley said.

Through Sex Education, Ashley plays Olivia Hanan, a popular student at Moordale Secondary school. While in Bridgerton 2, she got the main character, namely Edwina.

Patricia Allison also gave a similar statement. She explained that she had been on the Sex Education series for a long time and now it was time to find something new.

"I'm excited to be on Sex Education but sadly I won't be joining the fourth season. I'm sorry to have to say this but another opportunity has come up," Patricia Allison said on Yinka and Shayna Marie's radio show.

"I've been doing this role for three years and I'm really in love with it. I think I should say goodbye, sadly but there's something else I'm excited about," she said.

Sex Education tells the story of students at a Moordale school who experience sexual exploration. In 2021, Netflix announced the continuation of the story to a fourth season that had not yet started.

Sex Education also stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, and others. The series can be watched on Netflix.
