Yoo Ji Tae Makes His First Appearance Without A Mask In Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Tea

JAKARTA - Money Heist Korea will be released in June. To build the audience's interest, Netflix released the first teaser showing Yoo Ji Tae and a gang of robbers without masks.

This one-minute teaser features a background story in which North and South Korea founded the Korean Unification Mint. They worked together to produce a new currency aiming for a stable economy.

However, different from expectations, in fact this has actually created an even greater inequality in the social status of the community. An unfair world makes a former soldier from the North, Professor (Yoo Ji Tae) form a group of robbers.

Professor with Berlin (Park Hae Soo), Tokyo (Jung Jong Seo), Moscow (Lee Won Jong), Denver (Kim Ji Hoon), Nairobi (Jang Yoon Ju), Rio (Lee Hyun Woo), Helsinki (Kim Ji Hun) , Oslo (Lee Kyu Ho) joins as a band of robbers.

Their mission is to steal unreleased money. They face the South Korean Negotiation Specialist Unit Seon Woo Jin (Kim Yoon Jin) and Cha Moo Hyu (Kim Sung Oh).

This teaser also shows the transition of the band of robbers when wearing red jumpsuits and Hahoe masks that became their identities.

"The premise of the story with the theme of a common currency and a money mint built in the Common Security Area (which separates North and South Korea today) will give a unique and Korean touch to the original story," said Ryu Yong Jae as writer.

Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area is an adaptation of the Spanish series La Casa de Papel. The success of the series in its home country has made Netflix develop an adaptation to the land of ginseng. The series Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Part 1 consists of 12 episodes which will be released on June 24 on Netflix.
