Adele Releases The '30' Album, Critics Immediately Give Five Stars

JAKARTA - British musician Adele released her first album in the last six years, Friday, November 19 local time. This album immediately captured the hearts of critics and fans.

Through the album "30", Adele explained her divorce to her young son. Album 30 is a letter to his son.

The much-anticipated "30" is the fourth studio album by the British musician whose songs about heartbreak, regret, and nostalgia made her one of the most successful singer-songwriters of all time.

Critics praised Adele's latest album for its frankness, something Adele described as "sensitive", with the usually private singer performing a touching recording of her voice with her 9-year-old son Angelo.

Rolling Stone writer Rob Sheffield gave it a five-star review, calling "30" by far the best album in which Adele sounded more alive in her own senses, then managed to mold them into key songs in her life.

"30" is a continuation of the Grammy award-winning album "25", named after her age at the time of recording. Adele announced her split from Simon Konecki in 2019.

Adele previously released "Easy on Me" last month which immediately topped the world's top charts.
