BPOM Withdraws Three Products, Here's Salsa Cosmetic's Explanation

JAKARTA - Not long ago, the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM RI) attracted a number of beauty products that were known to contain prohibited materials. Several products from Salsa Cosmetic are included in the list.

Through an upload on his official Instagram account @salsacosmetic, Salsa said that they had withdrawn and destroyed one of the batches of Rhapsody Pro Palette products.

This was done after the discovery of the use of materials that were not in accordance with the rules by the factory in collaboration with China.

However, in the upload there has been no further explanation of thekumple lipstick product which has also been affected.

"We believe that honesty is part of our responsibility as a local brand that grew up with bestie," wrote Salsa in her upload, quoted from her Instagram account @salsacosmetic upload.

BPOM found that several Salsa products contain dyes that are prohibited from using cosmetics, including:

- SALSA Matte Lipstick Scarlet 09 Contains K3 Red Color

- SALSA Rhapsody Amber Pro Palette Contains Red Color K3 & K10

- SALSA Rhapsody Classic Pro Palette Contains Red Color K3 & K10

Salsa emphasized that the Rhapsody product currently circulating on the market has been confirmed safe and has followed the provisions of the Indonesian BPOM.

"We apologize for the inconvenience that may be caused and thank all consumers for the trust given to us." Salsa concluded in a statement.
