Deputy Minister of Industry (Wamenperin) Faisol Riza will invite business actors to meet Bali Governor I Wayan Koster.

The meeting aims to discuss the policy of prohibiting the production of bottled drinking water (AMDK) in the size of under one liter.

Faisol admitted that he had communicated with Koster regarding the planned meeting. Currently, they are just looking for the right time to do it.

According to Faisol, there are two meeting scenarios being considered.

First, he and a number of businessmen can go directly to Bali. Second, Koster can come to the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) office in Jakarta to discuss with entrepreneurs.

He considered that the direct involvement of entrepreneurs in the meeting was important so that the best solution for the industry could be found.

"I don't think I can stand alone because this is a complaint, this is a desire for entrepreneurs to convey what they feel and what they hope for the Governor (I Wayan Koster)," said Faisol when met by reporters at his office, quoted Tuesday, April 29.

When asked further when the schedule for the meeting would be held, Faisol could not provide information.

However, he hopes to hold a meeting this week.

"Hopefully (this week), we will find the right time," he added.

Previously, Koster issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Bali Movement Cleaning Garbage.

In its distribution, Koster also embeds regulations for bottled drinking water producers (AMDK) so that they no longer produce single-use packages under a volume of 1 liter for the good of the environment and prohibit distribution on the Island of the Gods.

The regulation was welcomed by the Ministry of Environment, even Minister Hanif Faisol admitted that he would oversee the instruction so that it would be realized properly.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Industry through the Deputy Minister of Industry (Wamenperin) Faisol Riza wants to summon Governor Wayan Koster, who is considered to have coordinated with the central government before launching the policy.

Related to this, Koster also admitted that he was ready to be summoned to provide an initial explanation, and even conveying the coordination referred to by the Ministry of Industry was not a must. Given, the rules he makes apply only in Bali according to the authority.

"Just call me. There is no need for coordination, this is the authority of the regional head," said Koster on Monday, April 14.

Koster himself repeatedly stated firmly in fighting for the regulation.

In fact, the circular letter is one of the indicators in the draft amendment to regional regulations that are being discussed in the Bali DPRD.
