Ensure DKI Jakarta Stock, Food Station Harvests Together In Kediri

JAKARTA - In order to secure rice supplies for Jakarta residents and their surroundings, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Perseroda) as the Food BUMD owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has been actively collaborating with various parties to carry out their duties.

Regarding this task, the Food Station is active in collaborating with business actors and BUMD, Cooperatives and the Association of Farmers Groups (Gapoktan) in the Manufacturer area, one of which is with agricultural business actors in East Java Province Wednesday, April 23.

"This morning with the local Gapoktan we carried out a Joint Harvesting activity on an area of 1.2 hectares in the Mekikis Village rice fields, Purwosari District, Kediri Regency, East Java," said Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Perseroda) Employee Gunarso in his official statement.

Gunarso said, this morning's harvest event was a follow-up to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's Inter-Regional Cooperation and Kediri Regency Government. This is in accordance with the direction of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to the Food Station to always maintain supply stability in order to maintain food security in Jakarta.

As an initial stage of realizing the cooperation commitment, the Food Station will absorb the proceeds from this joint rice harvest activity and send it to our production site in Ngawi Regency to produce quality rice products that will be marketed to people in East Java and DKI Jakarta.

According to him, his party is collaborating with the Kediri Regency Government, because Kediri is a producer or producer of rice and rice in East Java.

"We know that Kediri is a rice and rice producer in East Java. In the future, we will provide guidance to farmers in Kediri Regency to be able to increase their harvest, so that it will improve the welfare of the Farmers," he explained.

Furthermore, this cooperation commitment will later be developed on an area of 500 Ha which involves 23 Gapoktan by empowering 1000 farmers.

"In principle, in this collaboration, his party collaborates with Kediri Regency with 500 hectares of planting area, the planting will be carried out in the 2nd planting season, in addition to buying the harvest of the Food Station, he is also committed to improving the welfare of farmers by providing assistance in the planting process so that productivity also increases. This morning the Food Station also provided assistance in the form of rice seeds as much as 500 kg so as to reduce the burden on farmers to carry out planting, "he said.

Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana said that Mekikis Village has been a rice center in Kediri Regency, so rice production in Purwoasri is always high. Moreover, the Kediri Regency Government is currently working with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Food Station to absorb rice harvest production in the Kediri Regency area.

Along with this joint harvest event, Kediri Regency, today also dispatched 20 tons of skin burst rice purchased by PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Perseroda) in accordance with the purchase price at the farmer level set by the Government.

"I hope that the absorption of rice harvest in the Kediri Regency area can continue to increase and then in line with that the farmers can also continue to improve the quality of rice planting," he said.

For information, this harvest event together with the Food Station is part of the simultaneous rice planting and harvesting movement in 14 provinces and 157 regencies/cities in Indonesia. This activity is part of the government's efforts to strengthen national food security. The 14 provinces involved are West Java, East Java, Central Java, Banten, Yogyakarta, South Sumatra, Aceh, Lampung, North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, NTB and South Sulawesi.
