Lebaran Lajur Ke-3 Tol Cikopo-Palimanan Rampung, PTPP Ready To Support The Smooth Flow Of Homecoming Lebaran 2025

Welcoming the 2025 Eid homecoming flow, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) ensures that the 3rd lane widening project for the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road is complete and ready for use. This widening covers KM 87+350 to KM 98+275 and has reached 99.702 percent progress.

The project worth IDR 306.87 billion lasted for 300 calendar days, starting from June 5, 2024 until it was completed on March 31, 2025. The widening of this lane aims to increase the capacity of toll roads, reduce congestion, and smooth the flow of vehicles, especially during the peak period of Eid homecoming and long holidays.

As one of the main routes in Trans Java that often experience congestion, the presence of this additional lane is expected to provide a safer and more comfortable travel experience for travelers. Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU), Diana Kusumastuti, emphasized the importance of infrastructure development which is not only focused on road capacity, but also on aspects of aesthetics, quality, and environmental sustainability.

"Jalan improvements and widening must continue to pay attention to aesthetics, quality, and environmental sustainability. In addition, improving clean and comfortable rest area services must also be a major concern in order to provide the best experience for road users," Diana said, in her statement, Thursday, March 13.

In implementing this project, PTPP implemented Robo-Flagman technology innovation, an automated device that replaces the role of manual flagman in regulating traffic in the work area. This technology is able to operate 24 hours full by providing accurate traffic signals, thereby improving the safety of workers and road users during the construction process.

PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo, revealed that this project has its own challenges because the work is carried out in the middle of an active toll road with a high traffic volume. Therefore, the application of innovative technologies such as Robo-Flagman is a strategic step in ensuring the safety and efficiency of work.

"Thanks to careful planning and the use of modern technology, this widening project can be completed on time without disturbing toll road operations significantly. With the completion of this project, travelers passing through Lebaran 2025 and the following years can feel the benefits directly," said Joko.
