JAKARTA - The long-awaited sequel to the exorcism horror film, Dark Power: Blood Pact by Paragon Pictures, brings good news for lovers of local cinema. Not only promising a deeper story, this film is confirmed to be shown in IMAX format.

The two main actors, Jerome Kurnia and Lukman Sardi, shared unique experiences and character development that they played in a recent press conference.

Jerome Kurnia, who reprised the role of Romo Thomas, revealed a significant change in his character. If in the first film Thomas was preoccupied with the crisis of faith, in this sequel he appears with a different human side.

"In character, Romo Thomas is still Romo Thomas, only what he is facing is different. In the previous Dark Force, we saw that he had a problem with his faith until he finally found his faith again. Now, he already knows what he wants to do as an exorcist pastor," said Jerome Kurnia in Central Jakarta, Friday, August 7.

However, the firmness of faith actually brings new challenges. Jerome said Thomas would look a little more arrogant because he felt blessed and capable.

"Here he actually has to learn more. Because he feels he can, there is a little arrogance in him. He has to learn a lot more from Romo Rendra," he added.

Regarding the screening of his second film, Paragon Pictures producer Robert Ronny ensured that his film was chosen to be shown in IMAX format.

"It's not a shoot or a film for IMAX, so there's no logo for IMAX. But more to optimize for IMAX or enhanced for IMAX," said Robert Ronny.

"So if you're a film nerd, you know, there's a movie with IMAX, a movie for IMAX. Well, we're the third one. Optimize for IMAX or enhance for IMAX," he continued.

Robert is also grateful that the Dark Force can get this valuable opportunity. Considering that not many Indonesian local films get this privilege.

"They finally feel that they have to find local platforms that can roughly be used as IMAX content," he concluded.

Regarding the screening on the IMAX screen, Jerome admitted that he was very enthusiastic to see local products get a stage on the giant screen.

"I'm very excited because IMAX is very hyped again. It would be nice if we could see our own country's products on such a big screen," said Jerome.
