JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) provided cash of IDR 21 trillion during the Eid period starting March 21 to April 3, 2025. This step was taken to ensure that the community's needs were met throughout this year's Eid al-Fitr.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the preparation of cash for the Eid 2025 period is in line with the shift in customer behavior to digital. This makes cash allocation lower than last year in line with reduced cash withdrawal transactions at ATMs, Cash Recycle Machine (CRM), and branch outlets.
"Although there has been a more digital change in society, we understand that the need for cash during Eid and long holidays is also quite large compared to normal times, so that with the readiness of this cash, customers can meet their needs," Okki said in a statement to the media, Wednesday, March 12.
Okki said, the nominal transactions of BNI mobile banking and wondr by BNI grew by 36.7 percent in January 2025 compared to the same period last year (year on year). Meanwhile, the frequency of transactions increased by 35.4 percent.
During Eid Al-Fitr 2024, the nominal digital transactions also grew 29 percent compared to January 2025.
"With our integrated services supported by strong networks and increasing digital banking, customer banking needs will still be met," said Okki.
In this year's Eid period, BNI provides an average of 31 branch office outlets in limited operations from March 28 to April 7, 2024.

In addition, there are BNI Motion Services (O-Branch) located in 16 locations of homecoming lanes, tourist attractions, and other strategic locations. Banking needs can also be carried out through 214 thousand BNI Agent46 spread throughout Indonesia and other channels such as ATMs and CRM, as well as the use of digital wondr by BNI applications whose users have reached 6.4 million by the end of February.
"The allocation of cash at ATMs and branch offices is still dominated on the island of Java with cash filling which was originally prepared in big cities such as Jabodetabek but after D-2 Lebaran it will shift to homecoming destinations," concluded Okki.
