JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo), one of the SOEs in the insurance sector, provides free self-accination for thousands of travelers participating in the 2025 Free Homecoming Program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs.
"The insurance for personal accidents or personal accidents that we provide to the participants of this BUMN Free Homecoming is part of Askrindo's TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility Program) whose benefits can be felt directly by the community," said Askrindo President Director M Fankar Umran in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 12.
He stated that the provision of free self-accident insurance is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for travelers while gathering with their families in their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
"This effort is also a manifestation of Askrindo's presence in the community," he said.
Fankar said that the total coverage value of self-accident insurance in the BUMN Free Homecoming Program this time reached IDR 30 billion with a coverage period of seven days.
He also hopes that the provision of free insurance can help the government in intensifying insurance literacy and inclusion efforts in the community.
"We hope that with this free insurance, it will also be one of Askrindo's insurance literacy programs, namely understanding or education to the participants and to the wider community about the benefits of insurance," he said.
Not only providing free self-accident insurance, Askrindo as a member of the insurance BUMN holding and guarantee Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) also dispatched hundreds of travelers through the free homecoming program.
As part of the commitment to support smooth and safety of homecoming travel, IFG targets as many as 23,040 travelers to get safe and comfortable travel facilities.
IFG provides two main modes of transportation in this year's free homecoming program, namely trains with a total of 38 series and buses with a total of 80 units.
