KAI Daop 7 Madiun Prepares 11,440 Additional Seats For Eid 2025 Transportation

JAKARTA - Welcoming the Lebaran 1446 H/2025 homecoming season, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 7 Madiun has prepared a number of strategic steps to accommodate the surge in passengers.

One of the main efforts is to increase the seating capacity by providing 11,440 additional seats during the Lebaran Transport period which lasts for 22 days, from March 21 to April 11, 2025.

The Public Relations Manager of Daop 7 Madiun, Rokhmad Makin Zainul, revealed that the addition of the seat is available through the operation of an Additional Brantas train that serves the Blitar Station route to Pasar Senen.

"The total additional seats reached 11,440 during the Eid transportation period, allowing more people to travel safely and comfortably," he said on Sunday, as quoted by ANTARA.

This Additional Brantas train offers two service classes, namely executive and economic. In one train series there are four new image executive class carriages with a capacity of 200 seats, as well as four new image economy class carriages that provide 320 seats. With a total capacity of 520 seats per trip, the accumulation of seats during the Lebaran transportation period reached 11,440 seats.

To make it easier for people to get homecoming tickets, KAI began to open an Additional Lebaran train ticket booking on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 00.00 WIB. Tickets can be purchased through the Access by KAI application, the official website kai.id, and other official ticket sales partners.

"We understand that Eid is a special moment for the Indonesian people to gather with their families. Therefore, we present an additional train so that customers have more choices of travel schedules, especially on favorite dates," explained Zainul.

He also emphasized that KAI Daop 7 Madiun is committed to providing optimal service during the Eid transportation period. The addition of train trips aims to accommodate high demand, while ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers.

In addition, KAI has determined the ticket booking schedule according to the type of train. For long-distance trains, tickets can be ordered from D-45 before departure, namely from February 4, 2025. Meanwhile, for local trains, bookings are open from D-30, and several certain train services are only available D-7 before the scheduled departure.

"KAI is ready to serve passengers wholeheartedly during the 1446 H Eid Transport period. With additional train trips, we want to ensure that homecoming runs smoothly, safely, and is memorable for all customers," concluded Zainul.

This step is part of KAI's commitment to supporting the smooth flow of Eid Al-Fitr 2025, while strengthening the role of trains as a main mode of public transportation during the holiday season.
