JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs noted that during the first quarter of 2024, 20 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) had recorded investment achievements of IDR 15.1 trillion and absorbed 9,342 workers, and there were an additional 19 new business actors investing in SEZs.

Cumulatively until the first quarter of 2024, 20 SEZs have recorded investment realization of IDR 187.5 trillion by absorbing 126,506 workers.

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso said that 20 SEZs had recorded investment realizations, additional number of business actors and quite positive employment.

In addition, Susiwijono emphasized that the condition of the Indonesian economy in the first quarter of 2024 was still relatively stable amid the heated global geopolitical conditions.

"Inflation in our country will still be very under control, in 2024 we will be able to grow above 5 percent.
