Allegations Of Timah Corruption Drag Harvey Moeis, Stafsus Erick Thohir: Old Case, So Far It Has Not Been Revealed

JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs has opened its voice regarding the case of alleged corruption in the tin commodity trading system in the Mining Business Permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk in 2015-2022, which dragged entrepreneur and husband of Sandra Dewi, Harvey Moeis (HM).

Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said that this corruption eruption had been going on for a long time and had never been exposed. However, the AGO is now aware of the systematic operation that led to tin theft in the PT Timah area.

Arya said, the discovery of the naughty' operating system also made the AGO finally know the parties involved. In fact, several suspects have been identified, including Crazy Rich PIK Helena Lim and Harvey Moeis.

"This has been going on for a long time, a very long case, which has never been exposed so far," he told the media, Thursday, March 28.

Arya said the Ministry of SOEs was aware of this case. He said, his party would coordinate with the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to investigate it.

"So indeed we really appreciate this step by the AGO, so don't be surprised if they (the AGO) can dismantle everything systematically, and the involvement of the parties who took lead in PT tin's IUP," he said.

Furthermore, Arya also said that the disclosure of this case had indeed been awaited by all parties. The reason is, this practice is very detrimental because many tin commodities in the BUMN working area are actually taken by a number of parties illegally.

"With the disclosure of this case, this is indeed awaited by all parties, so we hope that in the future there will be no more lead taken from PT Timah's concession," he said.
