Anies Refuses To Enter The Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet: Will It Be Called 'Emang Offered?'

Anies Baswedan has the opportunity to enter the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet (Between/Galih Pradipta).

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan does not want to assume joining the cabinet as government minister Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

This was conveyed by Anies in response to his opportunity to enter the cabinet after the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the NasDem Party expressed their support for the upcoming government.

"I told you yesterday, we didn't make assumptions," Anies told reporters at the DPP Office of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27, 2024.

"If I say no, I'll say later, 'Are you offered?' I said yes, I was really offered, right," said Anies.

Anies said he would focus on carrying out what he can do now. However, he is ready to continue the idea of changing his jargon with Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in the 2024 presidential election.

"So, now we just do it first. Every time there is an opportunity to continue the idea of change, yes, go ahead," he said.

After all, future conditions should not only talk about positions. The former governor of DKI Jakarta assessed that there were many things that had to be taken seriously from the implementation of the 2024 presidential election.

"We'll see, for example, in the conversation here, 90 percent of the issues discussed are about who is assigned and what position."

"The quality of democracy is strongly determined by the practice of elections and presidential elections," said Anies.

"So, yesterday I said that from the beginning at the KPU, we respect the state while we convey all the records of the Constitutional Court (MK) judges that must be the subject of correction."

"We hope that the DPR tomorrow and the government that will be formed will bring the agenda to be used as material for drafting the law," he concluded.
