Erick Thohir Reaching Minangkabau, Encouraging The Skills Of Padang Capitals Through Online Training

PADANG - SOE Minister Erick Thohir encourages the skills of the capital city of Padang through training, especially online selling training which will be supported by BUMN Telkom.

"Women who have joined the Madani National Capital Fostering a Prosperous Family Economy (PNM Mekaar) will be given training to be more skilled and creative in selling," said SOE Minister Erick Thohir represented by Special Staff Arya Sinulingga during a visit to greet mothers in the city of Padang. Erick Thohir said that residents who have not joined will be given training so that when they join PNM Mekaar they are ready to run their businesses.

The meeting was attended by 250 women in the city of Padang, some of whom are PNM Mekaar customers.

According to Erick Thohir, the enthusiasm of Mekaar's customers in Padang City is not only in encouraging their own business to continue to advance, but they also transmit their enthusiasm to their fellow mothers.

One of the customers of PNM Mekaar in Padang, Yusni, has a rendang business. Starting from a loan in 2018 of Rp. 2 million from PNM, until now the business has been running for 4 years with a business capital of Rp. 7 million.

Initially Yusni offered his rendang merchandise to his colleagues, until finally Yusni's rendang product, named Rendang Yoiko, could be sold at the Padang City minimarket.

However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, Yusni withdrew his merchandise from the mini market because there were no buyers.

Finally, Yusni intends to buy a vacuum to make the packaging better so that his rendang products are more durable and not easily expired.

"Last year I was given a financing of Rp 7 million by Mekaar and I bought a vacuum device. Alhamdulillah, until now my products have been selling well so that every month my turnover is already Rp 12 million per month," said Yusni.

In addition, Sri Purwanti, who is one of PNM Mekaar's customers, has a Jamu business whose sales are done online.

"I often participate in training for online sales, through online sales, that's why my business is selling more and more," said Sri Purwanti.

It didn't stop there, Sri continued to encourage all mothers who were present to dare to join the Mekaar PNM Program.
