Menkop Invites Cooperatives Of LPDB Partners To Become Foster Sisters Of KDKMP

JAKATRA - Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono asked LPDB partner cooperatives to take on a role as a "career" for the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDKMP) to strengthen business assistance and increase the capacity of village cooperative managers.

"I have asked for a large and experienced cooperative to become a 'career' so that the strengthening of the Red and White Cooperative goes faster and more directed," Ferry said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 20.

He explained that KDKMP is a strategic government program with the agenda of developing village outlets, training on human resources, and establishing a business network targeted for completion in March-April 2026.

Ferry added that the government is preparing financial support and physical development whose total needs are estimated to reach around Rp200 trillion to encourage the operation of 80,000 KDKMP.

The Coordinating Minister emphasized that the Red and White Cooperative was directed to be the driving force for the village economy and part of efforts to strengthen the constitution in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

LPDB President Director Krisdianto Soedarmono added that 67 of the 75 partner cooperatives were present at the meeting and had stated readiness to support KDKMP through assistance and business partnerships.

"This momentum is important to strengthen the synergy between LPDB and partner cooperatives in supporting the acceleration of the Red and White Cooperative program," he said.

LPDB noted that 82,707 KDKMPs had become legal entities, while the physical construction of village cooperative outlets was carried out together with State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) and assisted by TNI personnel to pursue operational targets next year.

Krisdianto menjelaskan, LPDB bakal meningkatkan dukungan pembiayaan produktif bagi koperasi, terutama untuk mendorong koperasi masuk ke sektor produksi dan distribusi yang akan mengisi gerai KDKMP.

Krisdianto explained that LPDB will increase productive financing support for cooperatives, especially to encourage cooperatives to enter the production and distribution sectors that will fill KDKMP outlets.

"With cooperatives that are solid and connected in one ecosystem, we are optimistic that the Red and White Cooperative program can achieve its target," he said.
