Amman Mineral Still Waiting For Bahlil's Recommendation For Copper Concentrat Exports

JAKARTA - PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) is still waiting for the issuance of an export recommendation letter from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia.

Just so you know, a letter of recommendation from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources is a prerequisite for obtaining export approval from the Minister of Trade.

"The company is still waiting for the issuance of export recommendations by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia," said AMMN President Director Arief Widyawan Sidarto through information disclosure, Tuesday, October 28.

He added that the submission of export permit recommendations was the result of the condition of the kahar experienced by the corpse due to damage to flash-converting furnace (FCF) and sulfuric acid plant units on the smelter.

For information, based on the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 6 of 2025, it is stated that the holder of the special mining business permit (IUPK) for the production operation stage that has finished building a smelter can export concentrate if you experience a state of chaos.

"Since the end of June 2025, the operational activities of the AMNT smelter facility have been temporarily suspended," Arief continued.

Meanwhile, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia admitted that he had recommended a copper concentrate export license to AMMN.

The permit was granted for six months after the permit was granted.

"Yes, maybe six months, until it's finished," Bahlil told the media crew, Friday, October 24.

Despite opening the export tap, Bahlil ensured that he would still impose sanctions in the form of high taxes on AMMN.

Not without reason, according to him, this is done so that the company can accelerate the improvement of the smelter so that downstreaming can run.

Bahlil also said that his party gave recommendations because there was a force majeur or majear situation.
