BOGOR - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa plans to provide special incentives to employees of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) if they succeed in increasing the Indonesian tax ratio (tax ratio) to 12 percent, where currently, the tax ratio is still at around 10 percent.
Purbaya said that this incentive plan is part of the efforts to clean up tax and customs employees, if employees who are proven to have violated will be subject to direct dismissal or dishonorable dismissal (PTDH).
"Later, if it is very good, now (tax ratio) is around 10 percent, if it can enter 12 percent within one year we will give them incentives so that fair treatment, there will be punishment, there will also be rewards if they work well," he said in the Media Gathering of the 2026 State Budget, Friday, October 10.
Regarding the policy of eradicating internal violations in DGT and DJBC, Purbaya emphasized that the main focus is to supervise and take action against future mistakes. However, if there are findings of violations from the past, it will not close its eyes and will continue to be processed.
"So I look forward, if there are various things, there is no mercy. I don't know the back and forth, it's tangled, let it go first. Later, if there are findings, we will process them, but my target is not to play games in the future," he said.
