JAKARTA - Food SOE Holding ID FOOD ensures that the stock of meat needs during Ramadan to Eid is available to meet the needs of the community.

This was conveyed by VP Corporate Secretary ID FOOD Yosdian Adi Pramono, through his statement, in Jakarta, Monday, March 10. According to Yosdian, ID FOOD through PT Berdikari, a subsidiary engaged in the livestock sector, has taken a number of steps to secure meat supply during the National Religious Holidays (HBKN) of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

"We are fulfilling the supply through the procurement of around 55.3 thousand tons of beef and buffalo stock. This amount is prepared to meet the needs of the HBKN Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and after the holiday," he said.

Yosdian said the 55.3 tons of meat prepared would be distributed massively to maintain supply and demand in the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

"As we all know, meat is the most sought after commodity, especially when approaching Eid al-Fitr. For this reason, as SOEs that are assigned to maintain supply stability and meat prices, we are committed to accelerating and increasing distribution so that the distribution is evenly distributed," he said.

He added that one of the steps to accelerate distribution was carried out through the Operations of the Cheap Food Market of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. This activity was held by the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs through the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Trade, the National Food Agency, and in collaboration with the National Police Food Task Force and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero).

"During the implementation of the Cheap Food Market Operation, more than 6 thousand kg of buffalo meat have been sold. This number is still increasing considering that we are also distributing the Cheap Food Title (GPM) activities held by the National Food Agency," he explained.

Furthermore, Yosdian said, buffalo meat distributed by ID FOOD in Market Operations is sold at a price of Rp. 75,000/Kg, this price is far below the Highest Retail Price (HET) for buffalo meat set by the government, which is Rp. 80,000/Kg.

"We ensure that the quality is guaranteed and free from potential diseases because they meet the terms and regulations of distribution," he said.

With good quality and affordable prices, he hopes, this year the community can carry out the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in peace, because food supplies are maintained at stable and affordable prices.

"With the available meat stock, the public does not need to worry. This security measure is in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs so that SOEs contribute optimally to keep the community's needs safe ahead of Eid al-Fitr," he explained.

In addition to meat commodities, ID FOOD also supplies consumer sugar and cooking oil commodities in market operations. "We are currently focusing on maintaining stock stability and the prices of the three commodities," he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman revealed several steps by the government to stabilize food prices. Among other things, by preventing prices from being too high so as not to burden the community, and keeping prices profitable for farmers and breeders, and ensuring that the stock of basic commodities is sufficient until Eid Al-Fitr 2025.

He also emphasized that the government continues to make various efforts to keep food prices stable, one of which is through periodic market operations. According to him, President Prabowo Subianto continues to directly monitor price movements and asks that food distribution run smoothly.
