Pangkas 43.66 Percent, Ministry Of Transportation's 2025 Budget Is IDR 17.73 Trillion

JAKARTA - The government has made massive efficiency in the budget in 2025. The Ministry of Transportation's (Kemenhub) budget was also cut by 43.66 percent from the initial ceiling, so that the budget obtained was IDR 17.725 trillion.

Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana explained that based on a letter from the Ministry of Finance on September 23, 2024, the initial ceiling of the Ministry of Transportation's budget in 2025 is IDR 31.45 trillion.

The details, based on pure rupiah funding sources of IDR 20.03 trillion, PNBP IDR 4.36 trillion, BLU IDR 1.97 trillion, PLN IDR 3.16 trillion, HLN IDR 5.23 billion, and SBSN IDR 1.91 trillion.

However, continued Suntana, based on Presidential Instruction number 1 of 2025 concerning the efficiency of spending on the implementation of the APBN and APBD, the Ministry of Transportation's budget ceiling has an efficiency of IDR 17.87 trillion.

"So the remaining ceiling of the Ministry of Transportation in 2025 will be IDR 13.58 trillion. It includes several expenditures that are excluded from budget efficiency, including personnel expenditures, as well as activities sourced from foreign loans and grants, SBSN and BLU," he said in a working meeting with Commission V DPR, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Wednesday, February 12.

Suntana said the budget had changed again based on the coordination meeting on February 11. The Ministry of Transportation's effective ceiling was agreed to be IDR 17.725 trillion or 56.34 percent of the initial ceiling.

"Alhamdulillah wa thank God, based on the coordination meeting on February 11, 2025 a few days ago, as letter from the Ministry of State Secretary regarding the invitation to discuss the follow-up meeting of Presidential Instruction number 1 of 2025 through a joint meeting with the Ministry of Finance, we can report the latest effective ceiling of the Ministry of Transportation which was originally IDR 13.58 trillion to IDR 17.725 trillion or 56.34 percent of the initial ceiling," he said.

The Rp17,725 trillion ceiling, continued Suntana, will be optimized at three main posts, namely personnel spending, operational spending and pioneering sunaidi.

"This is an effort by the Ministry of Transportation to realize the commitment to ensure the availability of affordable transportation services and reach all levels of society in the territory of Indonesia," he said.
