Misbakhun Regarding Srimul's Subordinates Suspected Of Jiwasraya Case: Become A Lesson For Anyone

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI Misbakhun emphasized that the Jiwasraya corruption case which made the Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance Isa Rachmatarwata an important lesson.

In addition, Misbakhun emphasized that the DPR RI respects the ongoing legal process, including in the case that befell the subordinates of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

"For me, this is also part of a process that inevitably becomes a lesson for anyone in carrying out and carrying out their duties, to be more careful in the future," he told the media crew, Monday, February 10.

"This is for Commission XI because its partner (Ministry of Finance) also provides a sense of ease that he (Isa Rachmatarwata) will be given patience. And in the future this will also become a learning case. I once again convey, respect the applicable legal process," he added.

On the other hand, Misbakhun said that the replacement of the Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance Isa Rachmatarwata was the authority of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

However, Misbakhun emphasized, this step is important so that the effectiveness of the implementation of the task of the Directorate General of Budget is not disrupted.

Therefore, he encouraged the Ministry of Finance to look for temporary officials to replace Isa.

However, he continued, it was carried out without reducing the legal rights that the suspect still had.

Meanwhile, Misbakhun conveyed that regarding public trust in the government, it was completely left to the community.

"After all, our efforts are to build good governance. We can't expect perfect humans. We are all human beings, not angels who are free from lust," he explained.
