Misbakhun Confirms Receiving Letter Of Postponement Of Budget Efficiency Meeting From DPR Leaders

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission XI DPR Mukhamad Misbakhun confirmed that he had received a letter from the leadership of the DPR regarding the postponement of the budget efficiency meeting with each Ministry and Institution who is a partner of Commission I-XIII of the DPR.

Misbakhun emphasized that the letter, namely Letter Number B/1972/PW.11.01/2/2025 regarding the postponement of the meeting signed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad on February 7, 2025, has been received.

"I just got the letter and had to consolidate with other leaders first. So I can't give any comments yet," Misbakhun told the media crew, Monday, February 10.

Nevertheless, Misbakhun explained that the decision to invite partners in meetings and other related matters was a joint decision taken through internal meetings, leadership meetings, and internal meetings in each commission.

On the other hand, Misbakhun admitted that he had not read the letter and emphasized that if the letter had been circulated, the letter would serve as a reference for himself and other commission leaders to draw up a meeting agenda with their respective government partners.

"After all, whatever the direction from the leadership of the DPR, it is a guide for us to carry out meeting tasks with partners," he said.

In addition, Misbakhun said that he could not confirm whether the decision to postpone the meeting would have implications for the time limit for discussing budget efficiency between ministries/agencies (K/L) and their respective DPR commissions, which are partners, which are scheduled for February 14, 2025, in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025.

"I don't know yet, because the APBN is the full authority of the government, it will be discussed with the DPR at the next stage, that's what we are waiting for," said Misbakhun.

As is known, the postponement of the meeting was in accordance with Letter Number B/1972/PW.11.01/2/2025 regarding the postponement of the meeting signed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad on February 7, 2025.

In the letter, it was explained that in connection with the request to postpone the budget efficiency discussion meeting from the Ministry/Institutions because there would be a budget reconstruction from the government.

"So together we are asked by the leadership of Commission I to Commission XIII of the DPR to postpone the discussion of the efficiency of the work partner budget," quoted from the letter addressed to the chairman of Commission I-XIII of the DPR RI.

In the letter, it was also stated that if there is a Commission that has discussed budget efficiency with partners, then they are asked to hold a meeting again after the working partner gets the latest reconstruction budget.
