JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia opened his voice regarding the proposed granting of mining permits to universities listed in the revision of the Mineral and Coal Law (RUU Minerba) which became the initiative of the DPR RI.
Bahlil said he had just received the bill material after returning from a working visit (kunker) in India.
He ensured that he would provide an official response after conducting an in-depth study of the bill.
"The material was just sent, yes, I happened to have just returned from India, I haven't read it yet. Later after I read it, we will study it, after that we will give an official press release," Bahlil told the media crew in Jakarta, Thursday, January 30.
Bahlil said that this proposal was a positive initiative and scarcity from the DPR to universities and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
"If you follow from the news, I think it's a good intention," said Bahlil.
He continued, this is in line with the spirit of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution regarding Indonesia's natural wealth being controlled by the state and used as much as possible for the prosperity of the people.
"All the wealth that exists in our country, both sea, land and air, is controlled by the state and used as much as possible for the benefit of the people. Now, this is part of distribution, not used as much as possible for the benefit of entrepreneurs," he explained.
