Strengthening Indonesia's Sharia Economics, BI Launches Four Strategic Programs

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo conveyed that the implementation of the 11th Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) in 2024 also increasingly places Indonesia's leadership globally.

According to Perry Indonesia, this is an example of how strong the synergy of the congregation is in developing the Islamic financial economy.

"One of them, Alhamdulillah, Bank Indonesia won the Best Center Bank of the Year award at the third annual Global Islamic Finance event in a row in 2024," he said at the opening of the 2024 ISEF, at JCC, Wednesday, October 30.

Perry conveyed that for the update on the 11th ISEF in 2024, namely collaborating on events between national and international scale activities.

"We have managed to organize fashion mode for several years. This year we have also improved, not only modest fashion, but also competition for chefs, chefs who cook halal food. So that we have this become the first international halal chef competition in Indonesia," he said.

Perry added that in the 11th ISEF of 2024 there are four strategic programs to strengthen the national sharia economic and financial ecosystem.

"In the 11th ISEF of 2024, God willing, we will soon inaugurate 4 declarations in advancing the Indonesian sharia economy," he said.

The four strategic programs are the first halal traceability to trace product materials from huli to consumers, this is an effort to implement the law but to realize Indonesia's vision as the center of the world's leading halal product producer.

Second, digitizing pesantren products which includes digitizing payment systems, marketing, reporting business units, recording finances, and developing pesantren administration.

Third, the declaration of Syariah Products Restricted Investment Account (SRIA). Fourth, the declaration of the national strategy for Islamic Islamic economic literacy and financial inclusion as an effort to accelerate the increase in Islamic financial literacy and inclusion in collaboration using modeling, which is of course integrated.

"These are the four declarations that God willing, as our form so that we together advance our Islamic financial economy so that we get blessings and we intend all of this as our worship for Allah swt," he explained.
