Novan Amirudin Appointed As Commissioner Of CIMB Niaga

JAKARTA - The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) approved the appointment of Novan Amirudin as the new Commissioner of CIMB Niaga.

Just so you know, Novan is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Executive Director of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, Malaysia. Nov was appointed to replace Dato Abdul Rahman Ahmad who previously resigned.

Director of Compliance, Corporate Affairs & Legal CIMB Niaga Fransiska Oei welcomed the joining of Novan Amirudin as Commissioner of the Company.

"We congratulate the appointment of Novan Amirudin as a member of the CIMB Niaga Board of Commissioners, in order to strengthen the supervisory function and encourage the Company's performance in transforming into a bank of choice for the community and business actors in Indonesia," said Fransiska in Jakarta, Friday, October 25.

As for the term of office of Novan Amirudin as Commissioner of CIMB Niaga, it will be effective from the date determined in the EGMS to appoint it, and after obtaining approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and/or the fulfillment of the requirements stipulated in the OJK letter (effective date), until the closing of the Third Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) after the Effective Date.

Novan joined CIMB Group in July 2022 as a Co-Chief Executive Officer at the Wholesale Banking Group, and served as CEO of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad from June 2023 to June 2024. Novan managed to restore CIMB's position as Investment Bank No. 1 in Malaysia based on market share, and led CIMB Group's re-entry into the public equity business, through the acquisition and re-launch of CIMB Securities.

Novan has more than 20 years of experience in banking and consulting in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Prior to joining CIMB Group, Novan worked for almost 16 years at JP Morgan, with his last position as Head of Equity Capital Markets, Southeast Asia and Head of Investment Banking, Malaysia. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Novan worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specializing in Corporate Financial Consultation.

With the appointment of Novan Amirudin as Commissioner, the composition of the CIMB Niaga Board of Commissioners is as follows:
