Special Tariff Of IDR 1 Jabodetabek KRL Only Applies To A Minimum Balance Of IDR 5,000

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter will apply a tariff of IDR 1 for all Jabodetabek KRL trips on October 20. However, this tariff applies only to users with multi-trip cards (KMT) and electricity with a minimum balance of IDR 5,000.

"At the celebration of the People's Party for the Inauguration of the President and Vice President, KAI Commuter also applied a special tariff of IDR 1 for all trips across Jabodetabek specifically for October 20, 2024 with the condition that the minimum balance at Tap-In is IDR 5,000," said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Joni Martinus, to reporters in Jakarta, Saturday, October 19.

According to Joni, KAI this weekend, Saturday 19 October and Sunday 20 October, operating the Jabodetabek Commuter Line travel operation service refers to the operating pattern of weekdays.

"KAI Commuter will operate the Jabodetabek Commuter Line as many as 1,048 trips from what should have been only 962 trips. Because we think that this celebration will be greeted enthusiastically by the wider community," he explained.

Not only that, Joni said that his party also plans to carry out an additional 32 Commuter Line trips, so that the total will operate as many as 1,080 trips.

"This additional trip will be carried out situationally according to the conditions of the user density across," said Joni.

In addition to the addition of Commuter Line trips, KAI Commuter also added rooms and health care facilities at Manggarai Station and Juanda Station. KAI Commuter will also alert an ambulance for emergency conditions and cooperate with hospitals, health centers, the Health Office for further treatment.

For security in the station area, KAI Commuter cooperates with the National Police-TNI to add security officers. He said a total of 325 officers were deployed, especially at stations around the place of celebration.

"Like Manggarai Station, Juanda Station, Gondangdia Station, Sudirman Station, BNI City Station, Tanah Abang Station and Palmerah Station," he explained.

For user services, continued Joni, Passanger Service officers or Passenger Services, ticketing officers and Portable Counters as well as cleaning staff will also be added at these stations. Not only that, but KAI Commuter will also apply priority user special lanes to enter and leave the station.

It is predicted that at the celebration event, continued Joni, the volume of users will increase by 45 to 50 percent or 1 to 1.2 million people.

"So there is a potential for congestion in stations located around activity centers such as Sudirman Station, BNI City Station, Manggarai Station, and Tanah Abang Station as transit stations," said Joni

To maintain the safety and security of Commuter Line users, KAI Commuter will also impose isolation at the station hall for density restrictions on the station platform. Blocking will be carried out according to conditions at the station.

To facilitate the payment process, KAI Commuter urges all users to use KMT or Bank Electronic Money Cards, where each card can only be used for one user.

"This will speed up entry access and reduce waiting times at the station gate," he explained.
