JAKARTA - The Indonesian government together with Switzerland are strengthening their commitment to developing industrial human resources (HR) that are more competent in the 2024 Industrial Educational Training and Expo (Idutex).
The event, which was held by the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) in Jakarta on October 7-9, presented exhibitions, seminars, training (coaching clinics) and job fairs. Thus, helping industry players get human resources according to the criteria.
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the strengthening of commitment and support from the Swiss Government could be seen from the participation of Swiss contact Indonesia and Switzerland Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (SwissCham) at the 2024 Idutex event.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan revealed that the Swiss Government's commitment to supporting Indonesia in efforts to develop human resources skills had started in the 1970s.

In the event, Deputy Program Manager SS4C, who is a representative of Swisscontact Kiky Hendarin, said that his party was committed to continuing to support the Indonesian Government's steps to build human resources to be more competitive in order to achieve the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.
He said the skills development program in educational institutions and vocational training conducted by the Ministry of Industry played an important role in presenting competitive workers and according to the needs of today's industry.
Meanwhile, SwissCham Indonesia Executive Director Sarah Suhartono said, through strengthening commitments to this Idutex event, polytechnics and companies can develop a structured apprenticeship curriculum that allows students to internship under the guidance of workplace trainers (PTK).
The company also benefits from employees who have been trained as PTK, because they can provide training not only for interns but also for fellow company employees internally.
