Prohibited From Entering The Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Tower, Arsjad Rasjid Just Ignores And Keeps Working

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid said that although he could not access the Kadin Tower office in Kuningan due to being blocked by several individuals, his party would continue to work.

"On Tuesday, we started work. God willing, there will be another place," said Arsjad to reporters at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Sunday, September 15.

Arsjad emphasized the importance of having the ability to adapt when dealing with unexpected situations, aka agile as it is today.

"Agility is key, entrepreneurs must be agile," he said.

To note, a press conference will be held at the Kadin Tower, South Jakarta to address the 2024 Kadin Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) which appointed Anindya Bakrie as General Chair which was held at St Regis, on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

However, the management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2021 to 2026 was blocked by certain parties so that they could not hold a press conference until they finally had to be transferred to the JS Luwansa Hotel.

Arsjad regretted the attitude of several individuals who did not allow his party when they were about to hold a press conference at the Kadin Tower.

"Previously we planned to hold a press conference on the 3rd floor of the Kadin Building. It is a shame that the legal management of the Kadin 2021-2016. We were prevented from entering by individuals who had no interest in the sustainability agenda of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I am sure that my friends are waiting for a statement of attitude from us regarding the dynamics to occur," said Arsjad.

However, Arsjad emphasized that there was no political element behind the turmoil that was inside the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Because the current dynamics only involve a handful of individuals, and not all of Kadin.

"There is no (political element). There are only a handful of individuals (who intend to destroy the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry remains solid. In accordance with the existing Presidential Decree, there is only one Kadin, and we are still going on," he said.

Arsjad added that communication with representatives of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry to continue and remain solid amid the current dynamics.

"We have conveyed to friends at the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry that we must be solid and face this dynamic as a challenge. We must focus on what we do," he concluded.
