BGR Logistics Indonesia Supports National Food Security Through The Distribution Of Government Rice Reserves

PT BGR Logistik Indonesia (BLI) as a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI), which is a member of ID Food Group, was also present at the symbolic event of distributing Government Rice Reserves (CBP) BULOG as an effort to support national food security. This event took place in Jayapura Regency, Kemtuk Gresi District.

The event was attended by Mr. Major General (Ret.)visor of Limbong (Perjabat Gubernur Papua), as well as Mr. Semuel Siriwa (Public Officer of Jayapura). In addition, Mr. S. Hernowo (President Director of PPI), as well as Mr. Syailendra (President Director of BLI) and Mr. Indra Iliana (Director of Commercial and Operations of BLI) participated in this handover agenda.

As a member of ID Food Group, BLI is committed to supporting government programs through the distribution of CBP. In this program, BLI is trusted by BULOG to distribute government food assistance in the form of CBP in Papua with allocations for August, October, and December 2024. The total allocation of CBP BULOG aid distributed by BLI in the Papua region reaches 23.6 million kilograms, with 7.8 million kilograms per allocation.

This assistance will be distributed to 42 regencies/cities in six provinces, namely Papua, West Papua, Southwest Papua, Papua Mountains, South Papua, and Central Papua. This shows the company's commitment to affirming the government's program in strengthening national food security.

Furthermore, BLI also reported that until September 12, 2024, the realization of the distribution for 425,762 Food Aid Recipients (PBP) had achieved acceptance at last mile of 425.7 million kilograms, or the equivalent of 53.97 percent. Massively, BLI will distribute the remaining CBP which has not been realized until October and December. This effort was made to ensure that CBP can be distributed evenly and on target.

Papua's geographical condition, which is known for its difficult terrain, has not reduced BLI's commitment to the success of the food aid distribution program to the community, facing this condition BLI uses a combination strategy in transportation modes, its distribution, both land and air, ensuring food assistance can reach all targeted districts and cities.
