Deputy Chairperson Of OJK Remembers Faisal Basri When He Was A Lecturer Assistant At UI: Simple With Critical Thoughts

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Mirza Adityaswara revealed that Faisal Basri's figure who was simple and had critical thoughts had never changed when he became an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia (UI).

"So, if he is six years more senior than me, during college and indeed from college when I entered FE UI he has become an assistant lecturer, so a very simple person, from the past the assistant lecturer until now, his appearance is no different from his backpack," said Mirza at the funeral home, Thursday, September 5.

Mirza admitted that he lost Faisal Basri as a simple, smart figure by analyzing with data.

"So we all lost, yes, I as an economist, a classmate, yes indeed we need economist figures who come with data, talk straightforwardly, also provide analysis with data and we look for joint solutions to overcome the problems of this country which are still a lot and we continue to strive to improve," he said.

According to Mirza, the figure of Faisal Basri has a big role for Indonesia's development, especially in overseeing economic policies that must prosper the community.

"Bang Faisal played a big role, I think to oversee the course of economic policies. So we are all sorry and we are lost," he said.
