JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan DKI Jakarta Regional Office together with the Regional III Jakarta Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as well as held a socialization of the benefits of the Employment Social Security program for Private Universities in the Jakarta area. The activity took place on Monday 2 September, held at the Ki Hajar Dewantoro LLDIKTI Hall Region III which was attended by more than 100 private universities in the DKI Jakarta area.

The signing of the MoU was signed directly by the Head of the DKI Jakarta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Office, Deny Yusyulian, together with the Head of the General Section of LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta Noviyanto, ST, MMSI.

This activity is a follow-up to the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 8 of 2021 concerning Improvement of Compliance and Participation of the Employment Social Security Program in the Formal and Non-formal Education Units. That educators, education staff, and other supporting staff are required to be active participants of BPJS Employment.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPJS Employment Regional Office, Deny Yusyulian, explained that the benefits of the BPJS Employment program for formal and non-formal education units are very important to protect.

"This is certainly our main focus to provide protection for all educational units so that educators, education staff and other supporting staff are comfortable in working and increasing performance productivity," said Deny, in a written statement, Tuesday, September 3.

"The state is here to protect all levels of society, so collaboration between institutions needs to be carried out so that all levels of society get economic social risk protection caused by the loss of income for families, especially for the Education unit which is one of the main milestones to realize Indonesia Gold in 2045," added Deny.

Meanwhile, Head of the General Section of LLDIKTI Region III DKI Jakarta Noviyanto, ST., MMSI said that the BPJS Employment program is important for all formal and non-formal Education units.

"LLDIKTI is committed to providing protection for all educational units for formal and non-formal," he said.

His party admitted that they would continue to monitor and evaluate together with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

"If later it is found that there are private universities that do not comply with the participation of the BPJS Employment program, we will impose sanctions as stipulated in the applicable regulations. LLDIKTI continues to encourage all universities in DKI Jakarta to comply with the BPJS Employment Program Participation," he concluded.
