Gambir Police Increases Kamtibmas Patrol Ahead Of The Jakarta Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Gambir Metro Police have begun to increase the Kamtibmas patrol ahead of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada which will be held on Wednesday, November 27, next week.

The increase in regional security was carried out at a number of points that were considered prone to Kamtibmas. The increase in security includes increasing the patrol schedule so that all areas can be reached by patrol cars equipped with sirens.

"We will increase the intensity of patrols ahead of the 2024 Jakarta regional elections," said Gambir Metro Police Chief, Kompol Rezeki Revi Respati when confirmed, Thursday, November 21.

Security patrols are tightened based on the level of vulnerability in the region to prevent potential disturbances to Kamtibmas.

"So that there is no fraud in regional elections, for example, such as inflating ballots and during the quiet period there were still campaign banners," said the former Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation at the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

In addition to increasing patrols in the area, the Gambir Metro Police will also collaborate with elements of the 3 Pillars in maintaining the security of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada so that it can run successfully and conducively.

Kompol Respati emphasized the importance of maintaining a security and order situation during the Jakarta Pilkada stage. Especially in the Gambir area which is the Ring 1 area in Indonesia.

"There are many national vital objects that are priority security. So from the national obvit to the sub-district level there are all here," he said.

He also stated the need for synergy support from various relevant agencies such as the KPU, Bawaslu, Regional Government, TNI and Polri.

"The National Police also needs support and community participation in order to create a conducive security situation, especially in the capital city," he said.
