Bulungan KPU Sets Syarwani-The Elected Regent And Deputy Regent

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan (Kaltara) has appointed Syarwani and Lightning as Candidate Pairs for Regent and Deputy Bulungan to be elected in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections.

The determination of candidate pair number 1 with the SIAP tagline was held through an open plenary meeting at the Prince Khar hotel, Tanjung Selor, Thursday, January 9.

The head of the Bulungan KPU, Mahdi Ecelekuma, said that the Syarwani candidate pair - Lightning was superior with the acquisition of 50,293 votes or 68.06 percent.

"Today we have determined Syarwani and Lightning as candidates for the Regent and Deputy Regent of Bulungan to be elected as a result of the 2024 Pilkada," said Mahdi E OKkuma.

"After this determination, the Bulungan KPU will follow up in accordance with the authority in the KPU," Mahdi continued.

Mahdi explained that after the determination, the Bulungan KPU would write to the Bulungan DPRD for the inauguration proposed to the Ministry of Home Affairs through the governor of Kaltara.

"In accordance with the set schedule, we will convey this report and write to the DPRD for the proposed inauguration. Regarding the inauguration time, this is the authority of the central government or the Ministry of Home Affairs through the governor," he explained.

Meanwhile, the elected Bulungan Regent for the period 2025-2030 Syarwani thanked the people of Bulungan Regency for their support in choosing the SIAP Paslon in the November 27, 2024 regional elections.

"Let's unite and be united to build Bulungan, with the principle of tengunun senguyun to build this beloved Bulungan," said Syarwani.

As the elected regent for the second time, Syarwani will continue the development programs that have been initiated since 2021.

"There are 15 priority programs that are the vision and mission of the Syarwani-Silat pair which are the main focus, including programs that provide space for the younger generation," he said.
