"PT Angkasa Pura II informed that at around 04.24 WIB, one of the roofs of the food & beverage tenant in the departure area of Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport appeared a hotspot which was then successfully extinguished by Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel at around 04.30 WIB," said SM Branch Communication & Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport M. Holik Muardi in his statement, Sunday, September 1.
Holik said that the fire points that appeared were successfully extinguished according to procedures and were assisted by facilities, including APAR and hydrant so that they did not spread to other locations.

According to him, currently ARFF personnel are taking normalization steps at the location where the hotspots appear, including removing smoke in the terminal using vacuum smoke and exhaust fans.
Holik said that AP II was conducting an investigation regarding the cause of the fire spot in one of themen. He also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the fire.
"AP II apologizes to airplane passengers for the inconvenience that arises. Currently, Soekarno-Hatta Airport flight operations are still running normally," he concluded.
