KPUPR Ensures Projects In IKN Continued After The August 17 Ceremony, Here Are The Details

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) ensures that project work in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) will continue after the ceremony of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day there.

Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR Danis Hdanis Sumadilaga said his party would complete the ongoing projects.

For example, flats (Rusun) of state civil servants (ASN) and the coordinating ministry (Kemenko) office.

"Solution, for example, the ASN apartment will be 47 (power) at the end of December (2024). Then the offices of the Coordinating Ministry. Add infrastructure (such as roads), apartments are completed, we will complete the toll roads," said Danis when met at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, August 30.

Danis said the main focus that the government will do is to complete the multi-utility or multi-utility tunnel (MUT) roads and tunnels.

"Some of the roads have to be asphalted because it was just soil. Then we finished the road, multi utility tunnels so that the drinking water and electricity pipes could enter," he said.

Meanwhile, Danis said that currently the average progress of the Kemenko Office construction is already above 80 percent.

"The average is above 80 percent, except for Coordinating Ministry for 2 only around 50 percent," said Danis.

Previously, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the progress of the construction of the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) project had reached 50.4 percent until August 20, 2024.

In his explanation, Basuki said, currently there are 108 contracted packages divided into three packages that are being worked on.

"IKN infrastructure support in 2024 is IDR 41.41 trillion. The progress of implementing the physical package of IKN on August 20, 2024, as many as 108 packages is 50.4 percent," Basuki said at a Joint Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 21.

Basuki detailed, the progress of batch 1 with a total of 40 packages reached 91.4 percent. Then, batch 2 as many as 31 packages with progress reached 56.3 percent.

Finally, batch 3 with a total of 30 packages whose progress has reached 14 percent.

As for 2024, the total budget ceiling allocated by the Ministry of PUPR to support the development of basic infrastructure in IKN is IDR 41.41 trillion.
