Bank Mandiri has prepared a net for cash needs of around Rp 31.6 trillion to anticipate an increase in cash needs in the community over the next 30 days, namely on March 10, April 8, 2025, during Ramadan ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H. The net number of cash needs increased by 5.9 percent compared to the previous year's realization.

Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary M. Ashidiq Iswara said this step is expected to help customers meet various needs during the upcoming Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr periods, especially during the payment period for salaries and THR ASN.

Most of the allocation of cash needs is used to meet Bank Mandiri's ATM filling needs which are predicted to reach IDR 48.6 trillion during that period.

"In order to support the distribution of cash to the public, we have also optimized the filling of 12,905 units of Bank Mandiri ATM/CRM (ATM deposit) connected to ATM Link networks, Joint ATMs, Prima ATMs and Visa/Plus throughout Indonesia from the beginning of this month until the Eid holiday," said Ashidiq in his official statement, quoted Friday, March 14.

In addition to ATM machines, he continued, Bank Mandiri also optimizes online payment channels to help customers transact quickly, including with 264,000 EDC machines and Livin' by Mandiri applications.

"In line with the theme of this year's Ramadan program, namely Achieves Peace, Many Victorys and considering the large number of Livin' by Mandiri users, we will optimize this superapp capacity so that we can still provide excellent service at the peak of transactions, so that customers can worship and vacation in peace," he explained.

He added, to ensure the smoothness of customer BI FAST transactions, his party will provide adequate liquidity in the Settlement Fund Account (RSD) to anticipate a spike in BI FAST transactions during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods.

Meanwhile, preventive maintenance steps will be taken at 2,842 ATMs/CRM spread throughout Indonesia, especially in strategic locations such as rest areas, airports, stations, terminals, ports, shopping centers, hotels, gas stations and tourist attractions.

Customers can also use Livin' by Mandiri which is able to meet various needs such as balance checks, transfers, monthly & e-commerce bill payments, e-money and e-wallet top ups, as well as payments with QRIS. In fact, customers can also book train tickets, planes, to tourist attractions through the Sukha feature in this super app.

"With the Mandiri e-money top up feature on Livin' by Mandiri, customers who travel via toll road will be greatly facilitated because top ups can be done anywhere and anytime," added Ashidiq.

Meanwhile, for toll road users who do not have an e-money self-card, Ashidiq explained, his party will prepare a card stock of up to 1.02 million cards that can be obtained at the branches, the Sukha feature in Livin' by Mandiri, retail stores (Indomaret, Alfamart, etc.), official Bank Mandiri outlets at e-commerce (Tokopedia, Blibli, Shopee), and beverage machines at transportation sites and stations.

Ashidiq explained that his party will also ensure optimal readiness of IT networks to anticipate the increase in transactions made by customers on all electronic payment channels, by forming an IT monitoring team that is always on standby.

"Not only that, during the month of Ramadan Bank Mandiri also provided many special programs for Ramadan to pamper customers. Customers can access these various programs through bmri.id/ramadan2025," said Ashidiq.

Ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1446 H, Bank Mandiri also supports Bank Indonesia's policy of providing Small Bank Exchange Services (UPK) for the community. This year's exchange can be done through two main schemes, namely integrated exchange services and exchange services at banking branch counters. This service is open to the general public, both customers and non-customers, and can be carried out as long as the stock is still available.

Bank Mandiri continued, continues to coordinate with Bank Indonesia to ensure the smooth distribution of new money. He hopes that with this service, people can get new denominations easily and comfortably during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods.
