JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk or Waskita has been officially removed from the blacklist of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for government project tender activities.

Waskita Karya Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita said that with Waskita being removed from the blacklist, the company could return to the tender.

"So the company can again participate in the tender process for all government projects using the APBN, APBD, and private projects," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, August 6.

Ermy said Waskita's decline from the blacklist was carried out after the Panel of Judges granted the plaintiff's request, in this case Waskita Karya, regarding the Postponement of the Implementation of State Administrative Decree.

"We welcome the decision of the Panel of Judges. So now the blacklist sanctions for PT Waskita Karya Tbk have been passed down from the National Black List on the Inaproc page," he said.

According to Ermy, the decision had a positive impact to encourage improvements in Waskita's operational performance and financial condition. In the second quarter of 2024, Waskita Karya has pocketed revenue of IDR 4.47 trillion.

In Wasktia's financial report for the second quarter of 2024, it was stated that the revenue was supported by construction services of Rp3.12 trillion. There were also concrete sales or precasts that contributed Rp610.96 billion to the company's revenue. Then also added by toll road revenues which reached Rp563.34 billion.

Then, the company's Gross Profit Margin (GPM) performance rose to 13.3 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) from the previous 8.8 percent.

Ermy said the increase was in line with a better project profile, especially the Capital Nusantara (IKN) project, thus supporting the optimization of construction progress and lean projects. Currently, the company is working on 12 IKN projects with a total contract value of IDR 7.7 trillion.

"As of the second quarter of this year, the total contract value managed has reached IDR 51.1 trillion or 87 projects, 40.2 percent of which are National Strategic Projects (PSN)," he said.

In detail, as of July 2024 Waskita Karya is currently working on 83 PSN projects. A total of 64 of them have been completed, including 44 toll roads such as Serpong-Cinere, Pejagan-Pemalang, Pemalang- Batang, Batang-Semarang, Solo-Kertosono, and Pasuruan-Probolinggo.
