Jordi Cruyff's First Impression Arrives In Indonesia: There Is A Football Passion Everywhere

JAKARTA - The new Indonesian National Team's Technical Advisor, Jordi Cruyff, arrived in the country on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He described the first impression of feeling the atmosphere of Jakarta where many people passion football.

"The first thing, I feel like there is a big passion everywhere, on the streets, anywhere," he said during a press conference at the Mulia Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, afternoon WIB.

"Passion is an important thing if you want to achieve a big goal. Passion is the most beautiful thing," he said.

Despite carrying out his duties as technical adviser to the Indonesian national team, Jordi did not only focus on that task.

He is also trusted to develop a big program to make the regeneration of Indonesian players run smoothly.

"It's important to look at various sides. Today of course there is already Patrick Kluivert with the staff for daily work, but there are also important things to formulate short-term and long-term strategies to develop this large population (s football)."

"We must look for young talents for the future of the Indonesian national team. Not only on the field, but there must also be a maximum strategy for the future," said Jordi.

In his first task, Jordi will participate in overseeing and monitoring the Indonesian national team which will face Australia and Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup Qualification match. The two matches were crucial for the Garuda Squad's dream of appearing in the 2026 World Cup.
