BCA Confirmed Groundbreaking At IKN This August, Authority: There Is Already Feng Shunya

JAKARTA - The seventh phase of the groundbreaking activity in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) will certainly continue in mid-August. One of the so-called ground breaking is PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA).

Deputy for Funding and Investment of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Agung Wicaksono said that BCA had obtained land for the construction of the bank office in the archipelago.

"One of which is confirmation ( mid-August groundbreaking) is BCA," Agung told reporters at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, August 2.

Agung also ensured that BCA had found the desired land.

"There is already Feng Shui," he said.

On the same occasion, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the groundbreaking of the private bank would be carried out in conjunction with the signing of a cooperation agreement (PKS).

"Later on, BCA will have the PKS. So, at the same time with PKS," he said.

Even so, Basuki still has not provided further information about the groundbreaking date. He said the groundbreaking would be carried out when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) returned to review IKN.

"The plan (seventh stage groundbreaking) is when the President (Jokowi) goes there," he added.

Adapun rencana groundbreaking BBCA di IKN sudah mulai muncul sejak Maret 2024 silam.

At that time, Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono said that his party had met with representatives from Bank BCA some time ago.

However, he admitted, BCA is still considering the location of the construction.

"Yes, the name is selling the location and the land must be suitable. Yesterday my director met the director of BCA, but indeed the location is not suitable," Agung said in response to VOI's question when met at the Mithlaza Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, March 7.

Agung added that BCA's interest in building an office at IKN has entered. However, BCA is still looking for a suitable location.

"It's just a location that doesn't fit, but the interest (investing) is already running. What's called buying land for sure, right, you have to get the right one," he said.
